walking & drawing

The genesis of much of my work has been walking. My practice explores my experience with landscapes but also being intrigued by the act of ‘mark-making’, I needed some form of drawn output, an aesthetic, perhaps?

Drawings made as part of a walk have included marks made by holding a pencil against paper to create ‘maps’ & surface rubbings. Walks were also made using ‘scores’ i.e., threshold walk, and play-walking –leaving traces such as walking through leaves
