the 'Restriction' exhibition was set up by Correspondence Collective and inspired by Mail Art and by the restrictions experienced due to covid-19, new work was sought for an exhibition of miniature pieces of art which will be displayed in a set of old letter press drawers based at Clayhill Arts in Bridgwater and showcased online through livestream and video

during lockdown I had been experimenting with analogue drawing techniques as an antidote to the precise nature of architectural projects that I was working on and as a response to the restriction of both that practice and to the restrictions of lockdown

the works were largely abstract in nature and used contrasting tones to convey imagined spaces where ideas of restriction, confinement, seclusion, and solitude can be explored. They can be seen at approx 59 minutes into the video
